Glad: Meet the Odour Guards

Family brand Glad was dropping new technology. Garbage bag technology, to be exact with the name ‘Odour Guard’. They needed to get customers excited and reclaim their position from private label brands.
Trash bags aren’t engaging, but anthropomorphized Odour Guards who suck up smelly odours with their high-tech machines are. The playful approach gave the brand an essential injection of warmth and humour.
A blast from the initial character development to the TV spot to plastering the 'Odour Guard' on every box on the shelves. Sometimes, the least suspecting brands enable the most creativity.
